I'm so glad things are working out well between us. Finally, I've found you and you've found me. It amazing and I still cannot believe it. Nothing will stand in our way again!
Finally....
my new Samsung F480
is paired, through bluetooth, with my Samsung WEP200 headpiece
OUR PERFECT UNION!!
Note: It took me more than a week to finally get these two paired and working. Imagine the torture of driving and not being able to answer calls. At last, it's a happy ending!
OK, I know I'm like super behind time but I FINALLY went to changi airport terminal 3 this week. Haha... its was an impromptu decision to hit the airport. I went there for dinner with a friend. Hmm... after all the hype, the terminal 3 was kinda disappointing to me. Its too cold and sterile. No cosy feeling which I always feel when going to the airport. As compared to T1 and T2, T3 was beautiful in appearance but lack depth in substance. I still prefer being in T1 and T2 - these two terminals always make me yearn to go grab a ticket and fly out. T3 simply don't give me this feeling of being at the airport. And it didn't help that the terminal was pretty empty unlike the other two sister terminals which seemed to buzz with life!
Anyway, I really really want to fly out of S'pore for a short getaway. Anyone for bali or Ozzie?? =)
There're some songs which will stick with you for a season, and yet there're others which will always be a part of your life. Of course, the latter kind of songs are usually hard to come by. This song is what I will classify as a personal evergreen one. I simple heart this song. Though it has been around for quite a time, I will still listen to it like three to four times a week.
Walking along the street today, I can't help but notice that many people, including myself, were dressed in red. Guess today's the national day observance ceremony for many companies.
Tomorrow, we will be celebrating our 43rd yr of independence - after being kicked out of Malaysia. Come to think of it, we realli need to thank Malaysia for kicking us out, or we'll be reduced to being another state under them. We might not be what and where we are now, if we're still part of Malaysia (think Penang - which like S'pore is Chinese dominated).
As usual, the nation's biggest party will be held tomorrow at the Marina Bay floating platform. I must count myself fortunate cos I have been to NDP at Padang, National Stadium and the Marina Bay platform already. Of the 43 NDPs staged, I have took part in two and watched three "live" at the venue itself. I can still remember my participation in the NDP as a marching contingent at the Padang and as Guard-of-Honour (YES! I've fired the feiu-de-joie, French for "Fire of joy", before) at the National Stadium. I watched the 39th (2004), 41st (2006) and 42nd (2007) NDP "live" - all due to work commitment. I guess I shouldn't be complaining about having to work on National Day, since I get to be seated in the audience stand and soaked in the atmosphere as part of work. haha!! I did have a chance to go for the parade this year but I decided to give it a miss, as I dun wish to be working again on another national day holiday. =)
Well, Here's wishing every Singaporeans a happy national day! Be proud of Singapore, cos I am! We aren't perfect, but we sure are trying! Think hossan leong summed it up the best:
We're now in the month of August. It's the time of the year where the streets of Singapore are decorated with greetings and well wishes. At every turn of your head, you will be able to see a Singapore Flag flying stately in the air.
9 August - Singapore's birthday!
Every year, we will have a national day theme song. From the days of blatant patriotic messages to the current more contemporary scores, we do have quite a collection of national day songs. Among all these, I like these two - which happened to be sung by the same singer - the most.
There's no place I'd rather be - performed by Kit Chan

if by body, a slave"
