Post-F1 blues...
Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Alright, the whole world already know about this - Singapore has hosted its first ever F1 grand prix with a big bang, winning praises from all over the globe. Singapore - who hosted the 1st ever night race - in the words of Bernie Ecclestone, is another jewel of the F1 crown, rivalling the fame Monaco. The fast and furious actions on the track have concluded, but the praises are still coming in. Well done, Singapore! We have wow the world with a race filled with thrills, drama, and twist and turn. Who would have expected a racer starting the grid in 15th position could, in a circuit described as lacking opportunities for overtaking, be standing on the top of the podium with his name going down in history as the "Prince of Darkness". This is really "Uniquely Singapore". =)
Well, as for me, this is also the first time ever that I've actually watched a broadcast of the whole race. While I have caught bits of F1 races in the past, my attention span was usually too short - lasting mere few minute. I usually find it quite a bore cos all there was to see were cars running round and round. Somehow, this first experience of watching the full race was quite pleasant. Guess it was partly helped by the fact that I actually caught the qualifying race broadcast too. haha... didnt planned to watch it really, but it was a boring weekend with no other programme to watch. Anyway, like they say, the rest is history. I doubt I will become a F1 fan, but I sure dun mind catching it again next year when it comes to our sunny island.
Come to tink of it, the sun in our sunny island seemed to love F1 race too. The weather was super sunny only for sat and sun. Barely 24 hrs after the race concluded, the storm and rain came back to reclaim their rightful positions. Hmm, maybe the sun is suffering from post-F1 blues too, and had gone to hide. Hope the weather will turn sunny soon. I need to get my suntan!! At the very least, please don't rain on this sat night... cos A-Mei will be in town! Looking forward to attending her concert! Okie, I need to go and learn her songs now.... hahaha!!!!
