studying...

Yesterday, I went with a colleague to Orchard Rd for lunch. As we were travelling to our

destination in the MRT, we begun to reminisce about our days as a student in the Uni. We're both from NUS Arts Faculty (although we were studying there during different timeframe cos guys need to give a portion of their life to the nation). We were happily sharing about how we missed carrying a file walking around campus... going to lecture theatre and "hear" our lecturers teach... and chilling out at Arts canteen or the central forum area. As we were talking, I could recall all the memories abt Arts fac... the LT11, where i would attend lecture eating blackforest cake and drinking ice mocha... the tutorial inside lecturers' office for my Pol Sci modules... the photocopying of reading notes at central library. Man, I realli miss those carefree days where stress only comes during assignment deadline and exams period. Wish I was back in NUS...

Even though i did further my studies after graduation from NUS, the feeling was different. The feeling of studying part-time is miles apart from being a full-time student. My academic pursuit at NTU WKWSCI for my Masters of Mass Comm cannot compare to the times i spent in NUS. And this is why, I still see myself more as a part of NUS than NTU. Studying at NTU was simply to rush for lessons... staying back to discuss projects... and to borrow books for writing assignment. The most amount of time I spent in NTU was during every exams period, where I would be at the LWN library doing my reading and revision from late morning till the lib closes at 11plus pm. Compared to the three years for my undergrad education, the two years (part-time) at NTU seemed insignificant. Nevertheless, I'm still glad to have gone through my NTU years cos I managed to get to know a few friends... like Jensen (who is hosting radio show at 100.3FM), just married Val, ex-Star Search finalist Dennis, Mummy Chin.... and more.
Hmm... now that I have been through NUS and NTU... maybe I should do something with SMU... to complete my collection of certs from local Unis. Den again, school fees at SMU is way too ex. The MBA at SMU costs more than $50K. I totally don't think it is worth it. I rather use the $50k to do a degree course overseas!!
SMU, PLEASE LOWER THE FEES FOR YOUR MBA PROGRAMME!! Haha.
